Interview with Traveling Nurse From Elmhurst Hospital (NY)

I shared a video earlier on our Facebook channel of my step-sister Randi when she had just arrived at her traveling nurse assignment in NYC. After checking in with her a couple of days ago, I felt compelled to share a few things after she got assigned at Elmhurst hospital which is basically the epicenter for COVID-19 in NY::

1.) Two Hours Daily to Sanitize, Two Hours to Cry

First hand account from a senior ER doctor whom Randi worked hand-in-hand with during her assignment. She spoke at length with Emily and highly encouraged everyone to read the NY magazine article to really understand the horror of the peak of the outbreak.

2.) We jumped on a ZOOM call and did a little fireside chat-style interview. Tonya and I are clearly are not professional video editors or interviewers, but we covered some good ground about her three week assignment which started just after peak. Check out the video below.

We are so proud of her and hope this makes the experience of our #healthcareheroes a bit more real for those of us on the outside looking in!
